NEW YORK – A man who shot two women during a night of mayhem near New York City's Times Square last spring has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Rayvon Guice (gwees) asked for the women's forgiveness at his sentencing Wednesday. He says they weren't his target.
He pleaded guilty Jan. 6 to charges including attempted murder in the early April melee.
Police say hundreds of young people poured into the Times Square area as part of a rowdy annual ritual on the weekend of the New York International Auto Show.
More than 30 people were arrested. Some pleaded guilty to various charges. A few cases have been dismissed. Many remain open.
About two dozen other people were released after being ticketed or given juvenile reports.
