Synopsis
Tom arrives in New York hoping to make something of himself, while Jerry is searching for a comfortable new home. Jerry finds exactly what he's looking for inside one of Manhattan's most prestigious hotels. The hotel staff are less enthusiastic. Preparations are underway for a huge wedding, and discovering a mouse living inside the building could become a disaster. Kayla, a newly hired employee desperate to prove herself, is tasked with removing Jerry before anyone important discovers him. She recruits Tom. For Tom, catching Jerry should be familiar territory. Instead, their rivalry turns the hotel into another playground for the elaborate chases, traps and destruction that have defined their relationship for generations. As the wedding approaches, however, the chaos surrounding Tom and Jerry becomes part of a much larger problem. If either of them wants to put things right, the cat and mouse may finally have to stop fighting long enough to help each other.

When Jerry Mouse moves into an upmarket Manhattan hotel shortly before one of its biggest weddings, newly employed Kayla is given a seemingly straightforward task.
Get rid of the mouse.
Her solution is Tom.
Unfortunately, hiring Jerry's lifelong rival doesn't exactly solve the problem.
Their familiar game of cat and mouse quickly spreads through the hotel, threatening Kayla's new job, an enormous celebrity wedding, and practically everything else unfortunate enough to get between Tom and Jerry.
But when an even bigger problem emerges, the world's most determined enemies may have to do something neither particularly enjoys.

Tom and Jerry Take Their Chase to Manhattan
The surroundings may have changed, but Tom and Jerry haven't.
Put the pair inside an expensive Manhattan hotel, and it doesn't take long before corridors, bedrooms and ballrooms become extensions of the playground they've occupied for decades.
Jerry wants somewhere comfortable to live.
Tom wants to catch Jerry.
Everything standing between them is potentially collateral damage.
Moving the rivalry into a live-action environment gives their familiar slapstick a much larger playground — and unfortunately for the hotel staff, considerably more expensive things to destroy.

Kayla's Brilliant Solution Is Hiring Tom
Kayla needs to solve one problem.
There's a mouse in the hotel.
Bringing in a cat therefore sounds perfectly sensible.
What she doesn't understand is that this isn't simply any cat and any mouse.
Tom and Jerry have turned catching and escaping from one another into an art form, and neither has ever shown much concern for whatever happens to be around them during the chase.
Kayla's solution quickly becomes another problem.
And with an important wedding approaching, every destroyed room takes her closer to losing the job she's desperately trying to keep.

Some Rivalries Never Get Old
Tom and Jerry don't need complicated dialogue to explain their relationship.
Tom wants Jerry.
Jerry knows Tom wants him.
And Jerry is usually several steps ahead.
That simple setup has powered the characters since their earliest animated shorts, and the 2021 movie retains the physical comedy at the heart of their appeal.
Yet beneath all the explosions, traps and increasingly ridiculous attempts to outsmart one another is something else.
Tom and Jerry may be enemies.
They're also inseparable.
When circumstances finally require them to work together, their strange relationship begins looking suspiciously close to friendship — although neither would probably admit it.
