Robert Pattinson Says The Batman 2 Action Scenes Are ‘Significantly Harder’

Robert Pattinson Says The Batman 2 Action Scenes Are ‘Significantly Harder’

Robert Pattinson is back in the Batsuit for The Batman: Part II — and he’s definitely feeling the difference this time around.

The actor, who turned 40 earlier this year, has revealed that the sequel’s action scenes are proving much harder to shoot than in the first film.

Production on Matt Reeves’ long-awaited follow-up is currently underway in London, with Pattinson once again leading the cast as Bruce Wayne.

BACK IN THE BATSUIT

Pattinson Says the Fight Scenes Are Taking Their Toll

Speaking about filming the sequel, Pattinson said he's noticed how much more demanding the physical side of the role has become.

The actor joked that he is “feeling my age” while shooting the fight sequences and admitted that the work is significantly harder than it used to be.

Despite that, Pattinson remains enthusiastic about returning to Gotham and described the production as a lot of fun.

For a role built around long nights, heavy costumes and intense action work, it sounds like The Batman: Part II is once again putting its lead actor through a serious physical workout.

THE SEQUEL

The Batman: Part II Is Now Filming in London

Filming on the sequel began in June, with Matt Reeves returning to direct after steering the 2022 original.

Reeves also co-wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin.

Pattinson is once again playing Bruce Wayne, while Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan have joined the cast in roles that remain under wraps.

The secrecy surrounding the story has kept plot details tightly controlled, but Pattinson’s comments suggest the sequel will continue to lean heavily into the physical side of Batman’s world.

LONG ROAD BACK

Batman Fans Still Have a Long Wait Ahead

The sequel has already been pushed back several times.

It was originally set for October 2026, then moved to October 2027, and Warner Bros. later shifted the film again to February 18, 2028.

That means audiences will have waited almost six years between The Batman and its follow-up.

The extra time gives Reeves and the production team a lengthy post-production window after filming wraps, which matters for a movie expected to match its predecessor's large-scale visual ambition.

PATTINSON’S VERDICT

Robert Pattinson Sounds Confident About the Movie

While the physical demands may be tougher this time around, Pattinson sounds positive about how the sequel is shaping up.

He praised the cast and said he believes the movie will be strong, even if the shoot feels like a marathon.

That is likely to be welcome news for fans who have been waiting years for another chapter in Matt Reeves’ darker take on Gotham.

With production now underway, the next major updates are likely to be casting reveals, official imagery and eventually the first teaser.
