About Chris Pine
Chris Pine is an American actor, born August 26, 1980, in Los Angeles, California, USA. Best known for playing James T. Kirk in the modern Star Trek films, Pine has built a varied career spanning science fiction, action, comedy, fantasy and drama.
Pine made his feature-film debut in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004), playing Nicholas Devereaux opposite Anne Hathaway. He followed this with roles in films including Just My Luck and Smokin' Aces before landing the part that would make him an international star.
In Star Trek (2009), Pine took on the iconic role of Captain James T. Kirk, starring alongside Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldaña. He returned for Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond, helping introduce the long-running franchise to a new generation of moviegoers.
Outside Star Trek, Pine has appeared in films including Unstoppable, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and the acclaimed crime drama Hell or High Water. He also joined the DC universe as Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman (2017) and returned for Wonder Woman 1984.
