Margot Robbie is an Australian actress and producer who rose from television roles in her home country to become one of Hollywood's most recognisable stars, with major performances in films including The Wolf of Wall Street, Suicide Squad, I, Tonya, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Barbie. Born Margot Elise Robbie on July 2, 1990, in Dalby, Queensland, Australia, Robbie began acting professionally in Australian film and television before landing the role that first brought her widespread attention. In 2008, she joined the long-running Australian soap Neighbours as Donna Freedman. Robbie remained with the series until 2011 before moving to the United States to pursue opportunities in Hollywood. Her breakthrough came only a few years later. Robbie appeared opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013, playing Naomi Lapaglia. The film became a major international success and immediately established Robbie as a performer to watch.
