Rebel Wilson is an Australian actress, comedian, writer and producer, born March 2, 1980, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Known for her bold comedic performances and distinctive sense of humour, Wilson became an international star through a string of successful Hollywood comedies.
After beginning her career in Australian television and comedy, Wilson gained wider attention with roles in films including Bridesmaids and What to Expect When You're Expecting. Her major breakthrough came when she played Patricia "Fat Amy" Hobart in Pitch Perfect (2012), a scene-stealing performance that became one of her best-known roles.
Wilson returned for Pitch Perfect 2 and Pitch Perfect 3, while building a successful film career with appearances in Pain & Gain, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, How to Be Single and The Hustle.
In 2019, Wilson starred in the romantic comedy Isn't It Romantic and appeared as Fraulein Rahm in Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit. She later led the Netflix comedy Senior Year and continued to take on roles beyond the broad comedies that first made her famous.
