Sydney Sweeney is an American actress and producer who has become one of the most recognisable performers of her generation, building a career across television, independent cinema, horror, romantic comedy and major studio films. Born Sydney Bernice Sweeney on 12 September 1997 in Spokane, Washington, she began acting as a child before gradually establishing herself through a series of television and film roles. Sweeney became interested in acting after learning that an independent film was being shot near her hometown. Determined to convince her family that she wanted to pursue acting seriously, she reportedly presented them with a detailed plan explaining how she could build a career in the industry.
