Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner is an American actor, born February 11, 1992, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. He is best known for playing Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga, a role that made him one of the most recognisable young actors of the late 2000s and early 2010s. Lautner began acting as a child, appearing in television shows and providing voice work before landing one of his earliest major film roles as Sharkboy in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D (2005). He also appeared in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 the same year. His international breakthrough came with Twilight (2008), in which he first appeared as Jacob Black alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Lautner returned for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and Breaking Dawn – Part 2, with Jacob becoming a central character in the hugely successful franchise. Outside Twilight, Lautner took leading roles in films including Abduction and Tracers and appeared in the comedy Grown Ups 2. He also moved into television, starring in the action-comedy series Cuckoo and appearing in Scream Queens. Although forever associated with his role as Jacob Black, Taylor Lautner has built a career spanning family movies, action films, comedy and television, while remaining a familiar name to the generation that grew up with The Twilight Saga.
