Synopsis

Harry Potter's search for Voldemort's Horcruxes continues following the events of Deathly Hallows – Part 1. Alongside Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, Harry knows that destroying the objects containing fragments of Voldemort's soul is the only way to make the Dark Lord vulnerable. Their search takes them into Gringotts Wizarding Bank before eventually leading them back towards Hogwarts. The school is now controlled by forces loyal to Voldemort. But Harry's return changes everything. Friends and former teachers rally around him while Hogwarts prepares its defences against an approaching army of Death Eaters and dark creatures. Meanwhile, Harry continues searching for the remaining Horcruxes. Each discovery brings Voldemort closer to mortality. It also brings Harry closer to understanding the connection that has existed between them since he was a baby. As the Battle of Hogwarts begins, sacrifices are made, long-hidden truths are revealed, and Harry finally learns what may be required of him to defeat Voldemort. The story that began with a boy discovering he was a wizard reaches its final confrontation.

The Movie Trailer

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 brings the original Harry Potter film series to its spectacular conclusion as Harry, Ron and Hermione enter the final stage of their battle against Lord Voldemort.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson return as the three friends whose search for Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes eventually takes them back to the place where their journey began: Hogwarts.

But the school they once knew has changed.

Voldemort's forces are closing in, Hogwarts is preparing for war, and Harry understands that destroying the remaining Horcruxes will ultimately lead to a confrontation he has spent years preparing to face.

After seven previous films, friendships, rivalries and mysteries converge as the wizarding world prepares for its final battle.

RETURN TO HOGWARTS

Harry's Journey Ends Where His Story Truly Began

Hogwarts was once Harry's escape.

It was where an eleven-year-old boy discovered friendship, magic, and a world where he finally felt he belonged.

By Deathly Hallows – Part 2, that sanctuary has become a battlefield.

Harry's return brings the story full circle, bringing together characters and relationships established across the previous films in one place for a final confrontation.

The corridors, classrooms and grounds that once provided the backdrop to school adventures become defensive positions in a war for the future of the wizarding world.

Harry isn't returning to Hogwarts as a student.

He's returning to finish what Voldemort started.

THE BATTLE OF HOGWARTS

Eight Films Lead to One Final War

The Battle of Hogwarts gives the series a scale unlike anything Harry faced during his earlier years.

Students stand alongside teachers.

Old allies return.

Long-running characters are suddenly forced into a conflict where surviving until morning is far from guaranteed.

Yet the battle matters because audiences know the people fighting it.

After spending eight films inside this world, every corridor destroyed and every character placed in danger carries the weight of everything that came before.

The spectacle is enormous.

The emotional stakes are even bigger.

THE BOY WHO LIVED

Harry Potter Finally Faces Lord Voldemort

Harry and Voldemort have been connected since the night the Dark Lord attempted to kill him as a baby.

Everything since has led them back toward each other.

But defeating Voldemort isn't simply a matter of becoming the stronger wizard.

Harry must first understand the Horcruxes, Dumbledore's plans and the truth surrounding Severus Snape.

Most importantly, he has to understand himself.

The final confrontation therefore completes more than the battle between hero and villain.

It completes Harry's transformation from the frightened boy who entered the wizarding world into someone prepared to sacrifice everything to protect it.
